- Gentle
- Care free
- Laid back
- Dreamy
And sometimes more intelligent and observant than they appear to be on the surface.
Just like in real life in a way.
Anime Klutz Clumsy Characters:
1. Maylene (Black Butler)
Maylene is one of the house maids in Black Butler. Not a major character, but a memorable one.

2. Yui Hirasawa (K-On)
Yui Hirasawa is one of the most recognized klutz, clumsy characters in anime. Given her role and popularity.

She goes out of her way to help Chiaki, and uses any excuse to be near him.And has no shame about it.
Her main skill is in playing the piano. It’s the one thing she has that makes her stand out and makes people stand in shock.
A lot of everything else only shows how clumsy she is in daily life.
4. Michiru Inukai (Talentless Nana)
Michiru Inukai from Talentless Nana is one of the purest, most genuine anime characters the industry has known.
You can think of her like the female version of Gohan from
She see’s the best in others, even when on the surface, it’s clear there’s a darker, more wicked side to a person.
She believes in accepting people for who they are, and helping them overcome their demons. Instead of just demonizing them for what they’ve done.
Of course she’s an obvious klutz as well.

Despite being a Senpai.

7. Yuko Yoshida (The Demon Girl Next Door)
Yukio Yoshida, or “Shamiko” in the anime is the main character of this

8. Tenma Tsukamoto (School Rumble)
Tenma is one of the main characters in School Rumble. A klutz who’s
You could throw a Tennis ball at her in slow motion and she wouldn’t see it coming. The guy who likes her learns this the hard way.
Tenma, like Yui Hirasawa, is the reason why this anime’s comedy is so on point. It wouldn’t be as funny without her.

9. Haruka Kotoura (Kotoura-san)
Haruka is a bit of a tragic character. More so in the first episode of the series, as it dramatizes her back story and throws off your expectations.
“I should have never given birth to you” is what her mum tells her when young, and it sticks with her.
Aside from this, Haruka is still a kind person and doesn’t carry those negative feelings with her from day to day.
It’s just a shame the anime didn’t make better use of her story.
10. Sheele (Akame Ga Kill)
Sheele s unique by name, and by character. Not to mention her role as an assassin in
She’s kinder than everyone from Nighraid, her assassination group. And more caring on the surface. This is why Tatsumi warms to her. And vice versa.
With a tragic past and characteristics to relate to, Sheele is one of a kind. Even if we’re talking about clumsy characters.

12. Cocoa Hoto (Is The Order A Rabbit?)
Cocoa Hoto has a sister complex with Chio, a main character of the show.
She see’s Chio as her little sister and treats her that way, annoying Chio with her extroverted, over the top energy.
Cocoa’s energetic personality is why she can be a klutz. But at heart she has the right intentions and a good spirit.
13. Zenitsu Agatsuma (Kimetsu No Yaiba)
Zenitsu from
In general though, what you see in the anime is his normal self. A wimpy kid with a lack of confidence, who complains about everything.
Even to the point of making other characters pity him. And that plays into his clumsiness because he’s nervous.
14. Nana Komatsu (NANA)
Nana Komatsu is a major part of this
She meets a girl called Nana (just like herself) and they coincidentally end up in the same block of flats.
Nana Komatsu is easy going, care free, and is always the one to cheer everyone up around her.
In life, she’s unsure of what she wants to be, or how to achieve her dreams. And ends up making a lot of mistakes especially when it comes to sex and relationships.
She’s relatable for people in their early 20’s going through the motions.

15. Miranda Lotto (D. Gray Man)
Miranda Lotto has a 2nd name that implies she’s lucky, but it’s ironically the opposite for her in the early stages.
According to her, she’s useless, has no talents, and can’t seem to anything right. And always makes a mess.
Even if it’s cleaning dishes for a part time job.
She’s a character you can feel for, and in some ways, can understand and relate to.
She eventually gets her “break” and things start to change for the better.
16. Roman Saotome (Sket Dance)
Roman Saotome is the biggest klutz, clumsy character on this list. She’s got it down to a T.

In the anime she’s seen acting out cliches from shoujo
From a comedic point of view, there’s no character better when it comes to Roman Saotome in this context.
A personal favorite.
