1. Tatsumi (Akame Ga Kill)
Tatsumi is probably the youngest of the group and easily the most naive at the beginning of this assassination type of series.
After joining up with Nighraid, an assassin group, and learning the truth of the world, he still manages to keep some of his innocence and confidence in his abilities and the possibility of making positive changes.
Tatsumi’s journey and story can be a source of inspiration since he is an inspiring type of character.
2. Masamune Makabe (Masamune Kun No Revenge)
Masamune never used to be the most confident character. But that all changed when he was a fat kid and he was seemingly rejected by the girl he loved.
He then went on to train, get physically stronger, and years later, gained a lot of confidence and a newfound weight, not to mention girls who are all over him.
Masamune has a good story besides the harem elements of this series.
3. Soma Yukihira (Food Wars)
Soma trained in his mini restaurant with his father since he was a kid. So all the skills he puts to use in the anime’s plot are a result of years of hard work, observation, paying attention, and honing his skills.
He’s also confident and looks to set new challenges for himself to achieve and reach. All for the sake of growth, learning, evolving, and becoming more than he is.
That is reflected in his own results and achievements.
4. Hana Fountainstand (Hanayamata)
Hana is the girl who is looking to recruit so many girls for the “Yosakoi” dance group. Yosakoi is a type of freestyle Japanese dance.
It’s not surprising a person like this would need confidence in the firs place to pull it all off. And she does.
She’s also a bubbly character who’s extroverted and a social butterfly.
5. Lelouch Lamperouge (Code Geass)
Lelouch has always been a confident character in general, and one who plays chess a lot of the time. But once he almost dies and is saved by the power of GEASS, as well as new right hand woman C.C., he gains even more confidence.
He takes that confidence and uses it to build his own empire of Black Knights, and so much more sinister (yet positive) stuff all at the same time.
This is what makes Lelouch so controversial but likeable.
6. Kagura (Azumanga Daioh)
Kagura is one of the main secondary characters of the series. And she’s the one who’s a lot like Tomo, the other “crazy” character of the show.
Unlike Tomo or others, Kagura is good at sports and is almost on par with Sakaki, a girl she looks up to in a way.
Kagura is always confident, determined, not one to slack off, and has a good attitude about life in general and her own abilities.
She’s pretty wholesome as well.
7. Gojo Satoru (Jujutsu Kaisen)
Gojo’s past is being revealed more and more in the new airing season of Jujutsu Kaisen S2. And with it, we can see why Gojo has always had confidence in himself and what he does.
He’s feared for his power, abilities, and is so much of a threat that he’s singled out for elimination by many curses and “evil” villains.
He plays dumb most of the time but is smarter and more capable than he lets on.

8. Ram (Re:Zero – Starting Life In Another World)
Ram is the pink haired maid sister of the series, and the one with the most self confidence, self esteem, and some would say arrogance to a degree.
She’s the sister who never seems to break down, get overly emotional, and is level headed and strong. She shows nothing but confidence in what she does and never lets doubt dictate her actions (or allow it to weaken her actions).
9. Cid Kagenou (The Eminence In Shadow)
Cid Kagenou, also known as Shadow is a bit of a clown in the anime series, but that’s all by design. It’s a bit of a parody-style Isekai where the MC dies in real life with the hope of reincarnating.
When he does, he lives life like it’s a game or a joke. He purposely lives out cliches just for the sake of it and goes to lengths to fulfil childish but comical desires only an Otaku or gamer would understand.
Still, he’s confident but that’ unsurprising since he has so much power and an unfair advantage.
10. Black Star (Soul Eater)
Black Star is the character (from a ninja clan) that many would say is obnoxious, annoying, and irritating at best. But he has a level of confidence that can’t be denied and that may inspire some.
There’s a fine line between confidence, arrogance, and delusion, but sometimes the latter is needed in order to build it.
11. Byakuya Kuchiki (Bleach)
Byakuya Kuchiki has the most confidence of many characters. He never goes into battle with fear or arrogance. But he’s so confident it looks as if he is arrogant and doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing.
This is part of what makes Byakuya so deceptive without meaning to be. He’s clever, smart, reserved, and calm to a cold degree, but most of all assured of his abilities.
12. Julis Alexia Von Riessfeld (Asterisk War)
Julis Alexia is the princess in secret in this action/ecchi series. She’s competing in a festa (a tournament of sorts) so she can help orphans back home who she’s been protecting and helping for some years.
Her goals are noble, her morals are unbreakable, and her resolve is inspirational. And yes, she’s confident as can be.
13. Benno (Ascendance Of A Bookworm)
Benno is the businessman, the entrepreneur type. And he’s good at what he does. He always has confidence in himself when he does or says things, and isn’t the type to wallow in self pity or anything that doesn’t resemble confidence.
Though he’s a successful merchant, he does have a heart and is not the unethical type.
14. Yumechi (Akiba Maid War)
Yumechi is one of the main girls of the Oinky Doink cafe in the Akiba Maid War series. Though Yumechi seems like the more innocent type in the anime, she’s one of the most savage when it comes down to business and gangster shit.
She’s “cute” and confident in her job, and generally has a lot of self confidence in most other situations.
15. L Lawliet (Death Note)
L Lawliet is clearly the confident type being the great detective he is. He first sees Light Yagami and is assured of his own victory. In fact, he already felt this way long before meeting Yagami.
If it wasn’t for the fact this anime ha supernatural elements as well as Shinigami, L Lawliet would have been so much more dangerous as an opponent to Yagami, but then the story wouldn’t be as satisfying or compelling.
16. Alice Nakiri (Food Wars)
Alice Nakiri is a creative chef who always finds ways to make her food stand out and shine in competitions. She’s not one to try and mimic other people and takes pride in her cooking skills and her uniqueness.
She displays her uniqueness literally on a plate, and she has confidence in herself.
She’s a very likeable character.
17. Sailor Jupiter (Sailor Moon)
Sailor Jupiter might be the strongest of the Sailor scouts if we’re talking about physical and “human” strength. She’s a martial artist, and most can’t mess with her in a fight.
More importantly, she’s confident in her abilities and takes pride in her actions.
18. Crusch Karsten (Re:Zero – Starting Life In Another World)
Crusch is the most likeable character if we’re talking about the royal selection candidates in the Re:Zero series. Of all of the candidates, she’s the most down to earth, genuine, and sincere.
But like the others, she also has confidence and she’s the reason Subaru Natsuki gains more confidence in himself as well.

19. Satsuki Kiryuin (Kill La Kill)
Satsuki Kiryuin is the bigger sister of the series and the one who is the “villain” earlier in the series. She runs Hnnouji Academy and doesn’t tolerate bullshit or disrespect from anyone.
No matter how powerful they might be.
She’s proud, confident, thinks big, and aims for the stars even if that only means hitting the moon.
20. Kyoko Sakura (Madoka Magica)
Kyoko is the most honest, genuine, and practical magical girl in the Madoka Magica series. She doesn’t let wishy washy feelings stand in the way of what matters most and has learned a great deal from her own past.
Though she comes across as aggressive, she’s really not. She’s only straightforward, direct, and isn’t one to beat around the bush and has the confidence to back it up (especially in a fight).
21. Erza Scarlet (Fairy Tail)
Erza, queen of the fairies, is the red headed S class mage most wouldn’t dare to mess with without a plan or the strength to back it up.
Being a knight, it’s only natural she has high standards and morals. And after overcoming her trauma, she has more confidence in herself than she ever did in her childhood (after being enslaved).
22. Shizuka Mikazuki (Zom 100)
Shizuka, as revealed when she finally gave Akira her name, is an analytical genius and a smart character. She has high intellect and always thinks things through rationally, and isn’t one to let emotions cloud her judgment.
She’s not as good when it comes to reading emotions or having emotional intelligence, but she is confident in herself and her choices.
23. Touma Kamijou (A Certain Magical Index)
Touma might be the bravest anime character there is. He always minds other people’s business when it comes to moral issues, ethical problems, and things he sees as wrong and unjust.
He sounds obnoxious, ridiculous, or even childish in this way, but he’s far from it since he has a mature head on his shoulders.
24. Witch Of Greed Echidna (Re:Zero – Starting Life In Another World)
The Witch of Greed herself, Echidna, might be the most confident witch there is. Her greed is the reason why she has so much confidence if you ask me.
She only thinks about herself but is a good talker, very persuasive, and knows how to convince others to give her what she wants. And none of this is an act, it’s just how she thinks.
Echidna having so much confidence only makes those who are naive and unsuspecting more likely to slip up and give her what she wants.
25. Sogiita Gunha (A Certain Scientific Railgun)
Sogiita has GUTS. That’s his signature line. And it’s how he judges others as well.
Being one of the 7 espers ranked level 5 in Academy City, he has the power to back up his attitude and his confidence is something no sane person could ever doubt.
