Best Wish Fulfilment Anime You Never Even Suspected

The 19+ Best Wish Fulfilment Anime You Never Even Suspected

What is wish fulfilment anime?

Here’s how I define it:

  • “I wish that were me!”
  • I wish I could do that”.
  • I wish my life was like that”.

Which is to say, wish fulfilment anime is when you want what the character or anime has to offer.

In an unrealistic sense, of course (mostly). But it can be in a positive sense as well.

Here are the best anime that fit that bill.

Best wish fulfilment anime:

1. Mushoku Tensei

Mushoku Tensei squad characters

Rudues Greyrat is a disgusting character or person in his past life. Yes, he was bullied to an absolutely savage degree, but who he becomes is also disturbed.

After death, he’s reborn and essentially gets the chance to redo things over and become a better man than his past self which he’s deeply ashamed of.

In this new world, he also has the opportunity to sleep with girls he likes and be attractive to the opposite sex which his past self would NEVER have had the chance to do.

2. Dragon Ball Z

Dragon Ball Z squad z fighters

DBZ is the type of positive wish fulfilment you’ll find. You have a kid who goes from being relatively weak to so much stronger over the course of the anime series.

And he does it with training, NOT luck or having some magical bullshit fall into his lap or similar (like Naruto).

It’s no surprise why DBZ has inspired so many anime fans across the world in multiple countries.

The message is positive.

3. Monogatari

Monogatari girls

Monogatari is what you call a complicated wish fulfilment anime. It’s complex, it has depth, it’s meaningful and thought-provoking. But it’s also an anime series that’s weird as F, strange, somewhat disturbed, and different.

Most people who’ve watched this would give it the OK regardless.

4. Monster Musume

Monster Musume harem ecchi girls

A regular guy is surrounded by attractive girls who are all different types of creatures. Anime knows how to make even the strangest things seem attractive and appealing.

It’s a harem/ecchi series, so it speaks for itself.

5. Chobits

Chobits robot girlfriend

This anime was released in the 2000s when the idea of having a robot girlfriend or anything of the sort seemed like a fantasy. And that “fantasy” is why it’s on this list.

Given that in 2023, the possibility of this being a thing in the far future is obvious though sad and depressing, the wish fulfilment is undeniable.

Chobits is a romance series at the end of the day.

6. Spice And Wolf

Spice And Wolf couple

You’re a merchant, you’re travelling, and you run into a woman who lays there naked in a pile of hay. And this “woman” happens to be a deity, a fox goddess of sorts.

Doesn’t this sound like too perfect of a scenario?

Still, Spice And Wolf is a positive anime series with tons of life lessons and encouragement, so it’s not the “bad” kind of anime for this list.

7. Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear

kuma kuma kuma bear mc

Yuna is the girl in the bear suit, which she won at a special gaming event online, but now she can’t return back to the real world where she invests in stocks and is an adult woman.

Still, the world she lives in is relatively safe, she’s powerful to the point of overkill, and everything is mostly ideal.

It’s a “Positive” type of wish fulfilment anime.

8. Rent A Girlfriend

Rent A Girlfriend girls scaled

Kazuya Kinoshita is dumped by the so-called love of his life, Mami Chan, and then he rents out a girlfriend to deal with his miserable self.

This is the beginning of this anime’s role in the type of anime on this list.

Kazuya is hopeless, and this is in spite of character development.

9. World’s End Harem

Worlds End Harem harem
Shuumatsu No Harem

Shuumatsu No Harem as it’s called in Japanese, might be the ultimate wish fulfilment anime there is. I mean, the boys live in a world where 99% of men have been called by a “man” virus, literally.

This was intentional which they don’t yet know. But on the surface, this means the women of the world are fawning over the limited amount of men, desiring sex, and it naturally gets wild.

Even guys who would have been virgins for a long time and who lack confidence are able to get some.

10. Fairy Tail

Fairy Tail guild squad

Though Fairy Tail is one of my favourite anime series for a lot of reasons, wish fulfilment is NOT one of them. Though this anime does fit hat bill the more I think about it.

You have a magical world with cities, towns, and countries, one of which is Fiore where the Fairy Tail guild lives. They all have their own set of special powers and magical abilities.

To a degree, it’s safe and death isn’t a common occurrence until later down the line.

For a Shounen, the vibe is different. And the “power of friendship” and other concepts give it a wish fulfilment vibe.

11. In Another World With My Smartphone

In Another World With My Smartphone harem

You die, you’re reborn into another world, you have a special smartphone that gives you powers, and you have God’s phone number at your disposal.

I don’t think this anime can hide its wish fulfilment nature.

Not to mention the MC plans on marrying tons of girls who become part of his harem.

12. The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten cute

In a wholesome kind of way, this anime highlights wish fulfilment in a more positive, good kind of way.

You have Shiina, or “angel” as she’s called, who lives next door to the typical black-haired MC. He does her a favour, and she returns it, and then they end up talking more and more.

It gets to the point where she regularly starts cleaning his house and making him food like a wife. And their relationship blossoms.

13. Keijo

Keijo blond babe oppai

Imagine being able to sit around, chilling, and watching women with big asses, big tiddies, participating in a “butt” sport where the strongest ass wins the game.

It’s a man’s ideal dream scenario!

Wish fulfilment here is brutally obvious.

14. No Game No Life

No Game No Life colorful

Sora and Shiro’s lifestyle and the world they now found themselves in can’t be called anything but wish fulfilment. It’s an Isekai after all.

They’re smart individuals, but in this new world, those smarts give them advantages that wouldn’t be possible in the real world.

The wish fulfilment is obvious.

15. My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog

inukai sans dog ecchi scaled

When this anime was announced the wish fulfilment aspect was crystal clear. A guy is reborn as a dog, and through the eyes of that dog, he gets to see gorgeous women undressing, half-naked, etc.

But the girls have no idea that the guy now in the dog’s body is someone they know (not all).

16. Ishuzoku Reviewers

Ishuzoku Reviewers boobies

Ishuzoku Reviewers goes without saying. You have two guys who travel around, reviewing brothels after sleeping with a bunch of Monster Girls. So the harem and ecchi aspect is off the charts.

How great would it be if you could casually go around sleeping with monster girls and supernatural women who fit every type of fetish there is known to man?

17. Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online is one of the first anime shows that would come into people’s minds when talking about wish fulfilment. But contrary to popular belief, it’s not the worst.

Still, Kirito is known for scoring girls and getting them to support him, fight by his side, and all that good stuff even though his heart lies with Asuna Yuuki (his partner).

Yes, he has a personality, but he also does play into the “wish fulfilment” types of anime series. More so in S1 and S2.

18. Danmachi

Danmachi blushing

Is It Wrong To Try And Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon? – that’s the English title of this anime and speaks to some of the wish fulfilment happening in this series.

You have a white-haired MC called Bell Cranel, who almost gets his face smashed into the wall but is saved by a “beautiful” sowrds woman with blonde hair.

She’s one of the strongest swordsmen around.

He later gets trained to fight by her, and he also has a Goddess back home called Hestia who takes care of him. And it goes beyond this.

The wish fulfilment might not be so potent, but it’s clear.

19. Redo Of Healer

Redo Of Healer keyaru hood

Redo Of Healer can’t NOT be called a wish fulfilment anime series. I mean look at it. It’s not entirely wish fulfilment, but partially.

Keyaru, the MC, is abused, tortured, r*ped, and enslaved by the princess of the Jioral Kingdom. He finds a way to redo time so he can get his revenge against her and set things up in his favour.

After his revenge, he erases Flare’s memory (the princess) and makes her his sex partner, along with a few others along the journey.

It’s “this” element that makes Redo Of Healer a partial wish fulfilment anime, given what happens before and then afterwards.

20. The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really Love You

The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Love You

Self explanatory. This is a new anime adapted from a manga that’s airing in October 2023. And as crazy as the title suggests, this is exactly what you can expect from it.

If you thought wish fulfilment anime couldn’t get any madder, this has to be at the pinnacle of its madness.

21. Girlfriend, Girlfriend

Girlfriend Girlfriend harem

In this anime, they promote polyamorous relationships. The MC has 4 or 5 girlfriends so you can already guess it’s a harem, and that it’s a wish fulfilment anime to the most extreme.

This all takes place while the MC is in high school alongside the other girls who go to the same school, and some of which who know each other already and who settle on the idea suggested by the MC.
