1.) Your Name (Kimi no Na wa)

High school student Mitsuha Miyamizu is an adolescent who resides in the town of Itomori. Mitsuha is tired of living in a tiny town and wants to be a charming Tokyo lad in her next life.

When they both wake up, she starts to sporadically switch bodies with Taki Tachibana, a high school student in Tokyo.

They used to communicate by writing notes to each other on paper, phones, and occasionally even on their skin.

The most recent communication from Mitsuha informs Taki about the comet Tiamat’s anticipated passage.

The day of Earth’s town celebration. The body-switching stops when Taki wakes up in his body the following morning and tries to phone Mitsuha but cannot connect with her.

2.) Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You

See the source image

Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You is a moving story of an unlikely relationship (and more) between Kuronuma Sawako and Kazehaya Shouta that combines aspects of romance and drama.

The former has trouble making friends since she resembles Sadako Yamamura from the 1998 film Ring, while the latter is quite well-liked.

Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You primarily offers good amusement and respectable character growth.

3.) Ore Monogatari! (My Love Story!)

See the source image

Takeo Gouda refers to the experience of having a healthy body. He is a big, lovely oaf looking for love and happiness. It would be impossible not to support him because he is so generous and friendly, at times inhumanly so. to experience the utmost sadness when he is not there.

His emotional and physical selflessness in the service of his friends will only make him more alluring until your happiness becomes his own.

Do I sound too ecstatic? Be kind; I also experience feelings.

4.) Barakamon

See the source image

A talented calligrapher named Seishuu Handa loses his temper when one of his works is critiqued. Seishuu is transported to the remote Goto Islands by his father so that he can mature there.

Seishuu is forced to leave his comfort zone to communicate with the energetic islanders since he lives in a neighbourhood that does not place much value on personal boundaries.

Although Barakamon begins as a story about a fish out of the water, Seishuu’s conflicts with the other characters are not given much screen time in the anime. Instead, Barakamon tells a quaint tale that is enjoyable and frequently funny.

5.) I Can’t Understand What My Husband is Saying

See the source image

Except for Gintama, comedies are often wholesome. But this little gem is on a whole other level. It can be finished in one hour. This sketch-based program focuses on a newlywed couple’s challenges and victories as they approach marriage.

The majority of the humour is derived from the fact that the husband is an otaku. It never seems malicious. His wife appreciates and supports his interest. The show does more than just parody anime culture.

I heartily recommend this show, especially if you are going through a similar situation in your own life.

6.) Wise Man’s Grandchild

See the source image

A lonely guy dies in the modern world and is reborn in a different one. A bright sage named “Merlin” saved the infant from a tragedy and reared him as “Shin Wolford,” training him in magic and martial arts to defeat the monsters and demons nearby.

He had already developed tremendous power at age 15, but his grandfather had neglected to impart the wisdom of this world. An all-encompassing anime tune that will make you happy and blow your mind.

7.) Flying Witch

See the source image

Makoto Kowata is a witch who, following tradition, travels to the natural world to reestablish a connection with herself. The witch attends school while leading an everyday life with a touch of magic, and she eventually ends up in Aomori.

The show about witches, Flying Witch, is the most realistic. The characters seem like actual individuals, and no effort is made to add pointless drama or exaggerate eccentricities to get laughs. Simply lovely is Flying Witch.

8.) Tsuki Ga Kirei

See the source image

All that it is is a high school play. Aliens, Shinigami, and triple love relationships don’t exist. Each exchange is understandable and appropriate for each character.

Relationships naturally develop. No extravagant combat scenes or forced strife are necessary. It carries you away under its wings. This is the spot to go if you’re looking for drama in high school but aren’t sure where else to look.

9.) Anohana

See the source image

This drama’s main characters are friends who grew distant from one another after Meiko, alias Menma, passed away. You initially don’t understand why the girl’s spirit is returning.

The only person who can truly see her is the group’s leader, Jintan, who has since become a recluse and appears to have given up on many aspects of life due to Menma’s passing.

10.) School Babysitters

See the source image

School Babysitters, which features a cast primarily of young children, shows that there is no such thing as too much fluff. Ryuuichi Kashima and his infant brother Kotarou begin attending a new school after becoming orphans, but the former must join the academy’s babysitting club.

When they arrive, Ryuuichi is joined by several other pupils and their younger brothers.

Despite having an unexpectedly dismal backdrop, School Babysitters is a sweet, captivating, and consistently charming slice-of-life anime.

11.) Isekai Quartet

See the source image

As the title implies, isekai enthusiasts are the target audience for this presentation. Four of the most well-known characters from the four isekai are thrown into this cartoon universe in this cartoon to see what happens.

Based on their characters’ backgrounds, many of these shows have a grim tone. Do you recall watching Re: Zero? It warms my heart to see kids acting so out of place and just having fun in a pretend high school setting.

12.) Danmachi

See the source image

Danmachi was an excellent anime overall and, while not being one, had the same vibe as an isekai or game anime.

Although I wish he weren’t doing it just for a girl, Bell’s battle to level up and get strong enough to face is entertaining.

13.) YuruYuri

See the source image

YuruYuri is a typical slice-of-life anime that consists of three whole seasons, each one better than the last, and a few OVAs about four friends who are a part of a school’s Amusement Club.

While YuruYuri’s humour is similar to that of Lucky Star, it places an even greater emphasis on the connections between its primary characters.

As YuruYuri’s heroines are not very naïve, it does take a few more risks than some other fluffy anime. Yet, the show never takes itself seriously or stops to introduce any unexpected tension. The plots are usually charming and enjoyable.

14.) Tanaka-kun is always listless

See the source image

Most definitely a fat-type, this show. Tanaka is the central focus. He is a boy who doesn’t let anything upset him. He desires to recline and sleep.

His classmates and friends often urge him to participate in activities he enjoys, but he tries to avoid them.

Tanaka is the ideal role model for introverts who don’t require much to be happy. His daily activities will make you smile.

15.) The Devil is a Part-Timer

See the source image

Comedy and action abound in the anime. It provides a calming feeling. The fact that it is not set in a school is more crucial than anything else about this slice-of-life comedy with fantasy overtones.

Sadao Maou is a former demon king of Ente Isla and the anime’s protagonist.

He retreats with General Ashiya to present-day Japan after being defeated and thrown from the throne, losing all of their magical talents.

16.) Slow Start

Hana Ichinose, the main character, is forced to attend a class with younger students since she missed a year of school. Hana’s lack of confidence makes this situation worse, and she honestly worries that her peers will make fun of her for missing a year of school.

Fortunately, this is unimportant as Hana quickly befriends a group of upbeat and sympathetic schoolgirls.

Slow Start largely ignores Hana’s persistent worry about being found to concentrate on the endearing banter between its main characters, even though it is somewhat unnecessary.

17.) Merman in My Tub

See the source image

Tatsumi, a high school student, lives alone. But Wakasa, a stunningly attractive merman, makes his way into Tatsumi’s bathtub.

Tatsumi is excellent but a hassle, while Wakasa is cute but a little self-centered.

18.) Laid-Back Camp

See the source image

What could be more soothing than camping next to a stunning mountain for a hearty supper? Laid-Back Camp is nourishing to the spirit.

Each episode of the anime offers a cast of people who approach each journey with an infectious zeal, in addition to magnificent scenery that is always enjoyable.

Even though locations like Mount Fuji seem to be from another planet, Laid-Back Camp is fun and rooted in reality.

19.) How to Keep A Mummy

See the source image

A recurring theme in these wholesome anime series is that regular people must take care of something peculiar, adorable, or childlike.

This time, it’s a mother! But it’s not one of those big, obtrusive ones; it’s cute. It is minimal and fits in your hand. His name is Mii-Kun. He constantly cries and is shy. This little ball of bandages must be the child of the protagonist. See how he waddles?

20.) Konohana Kitan

Yuzu is a happy, innocent young fox girl who begins her first job as an attendant at Konohanatei, a traditional hot springs inn, in Konohana Kitan’s touching story. Konohana Kitan is a hidden gem that combines adorable moments with priceless Yuzu.

Yuzu begins her training while getting to know her coworkers. Yuzu steadily learns the trade of an inn attendant while she learns to love the magical world surrounding her. Nothing is healthier than cute girls acting cute!

21.) Usagi Drop

See the source image

The first episode of Usagi Drop is tragic and unsettling, but these feelings eventually give way to one of the industry’s most virtuous stories.

Daikichi Kawachi discovers that his grandfather had an unmarried daughter named Rin Kaga at his funeral. With the rest of the family giving her the cold shoulder, Daikichi takes it upon himself to become Rin’s guardian.

22.) Hetalia: Axis Powers

See the source image

It’s a slice-of-life show with the added twist that each character stands for a particular nation and all associated stereotypes. It isn’t scathing social commentary. I’d characterize them as idiots who enjoy making fun of others.

My favourite people are them. If you are one of these characters, it enhances the enjoyment of the experience. After that, you can enjoy yourself immensely by contrasting yourself with your peculiar anime representative.

It is a spin-off that employs the same idea but with cats only. This concept is truly fantastic.

23.) Blood Lad

See the source image

The vampire in this tale has no desire to consume human blood. You did read that correctly.

The vampire is a passionate otaku who adores manga and Japanese culture. Other excuses for not watching this anime are nonexistent. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it if you give it a try.

24.) Non-Non Biyori

Although not all fluffy anime emphasizes nature, it frequently does so in many of them. These tales are known as “Iyashikei” in Japan, which translates to “healing,” Non-Non Biyori may be the best illustration of one of these series.

In a quiet rural town, Non-Non Biyori follows the mundane everyday lives of five students. Non-Non Biyori is just as much about its setting as it is about its characters, despite having a good amount of character-driven humour.

This anime has a calming atmosphere, whether in the imagery, pacing, tone, or soundtrack.

25.) K-On!

See the source image

What could be purer than cute little girls acting cute? Nothing! With her excellent animation and status as the cutest girl on a guitar string, K-On stands out as a giant in this category.

The show’s focal point is The Light Music Club. Our five prominent women make you laugh, sing songs, and generally have a good time. Even the minor characters make for excellent aww fodder.

The #1 fan and sister Ui are my favourites.

26.) Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou

The Daily Lives of High School Boys is a hilariously entertaining documentary about the mundane grind of teenage life. It’s an anime in the style of Slice of Life featuring regular boys who enjoy reading a good book and relaxing by the river.

It’s for people who like the taste of toast in the morning and for doodles while on the phone. It’s definitely for you if you enjoy taking long beach walks.

27.) Love, Chunibyo, and Other Delusions

See the source image

These characters are either inventive or delusory. But they know how to keep you captivated in their universe. Every adventure is a new experience. A thrilling clash in which what appears mundane quickly transforms into something lavish and exciting.

It takes time to notice that Rikka is an essential cast member. Yuuta’s name was also changed from Kaidou Shun shortly after the series ended. In all seriousness, it’s amusing. It isn’t easy to believe that the primary dream team will have to deal with reality.

28.) My Neighbor Totoro

See the source image

Of course, a Studio Ghibli film cannot be left out of this list of family-friendly anime. The godfathers of feel-good anime moves are Hayao Miyazaki and Ghibli.

My Neighbor Totoro is a well-known franchise. It’s a lovely piece that depicts how a family strives to be joyful despite adversity. Totoro is a lovable kitty who makes you want to lie on his stomach like Mei.

Nekobasu’s public transportation system will make you envious.

29.) Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove it

See the source image

This anime has a distinct peculiarity. It is a unique spin on defragging or gamers but extends the nerdiness to the extremes for an adult audience.

Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It makes fun of people’s lack of experience in romantic situations. There is also a male to a female character, so it’s no surprise that this is comparable to Kaguya.

30.) March comes in like a Lion

See the source image

Although this show is a little more severe than others, I adore it. This is Rei, a shogi player who is highly stressed. He relocates to Tokyo to find some peace of mind. He meets the sweetest, most caring trio of sisters.

The Original joins them. The four of them, along with the O.G., form a pseudo-family that helps one another in difficult times.

31.) Sweetness & Lightning

See the source image

The food has been extraordinary. It is possible to see food go beyond its boundaries. But has it ever caused you heartbreak? If you’re looking for an unusual food anime, you’ve come to the perfect place.

Sweetness and Lightning tell the story of a father who has lost his wife and is attempting to make his daughter happy. He relies on ready-made meals from the grocery store because he doesn’t have much time to cook.

After speaking with another student who was also in desperate need of company, the three began cooking and eating together as a family. After viewing this show, we feel obligated to call our parents and invite them to supper.

32.) Princess Connect! Re: Dive

See the source image

Connect with a Princess! Re: Dive is an anime based on mobile games, which have grown in popularity in recent years. It is a good game adaptation and a healthy time to invest in.

The series is set in an unknown world. Yuuki is awakened by a mysterious Goddess, only to discover that he has been sent to another world to discover the truth and reclaim his memory.

33.) Tamako Market

See the source image

It’s similar to Romeo and Juliet, except we get a lot of cuteness and mochi instead of tragic endings and noble blood. This is a way more extraordinary version.

As you might expect, Tamako is our main character, and most of the story takes place in the Usagiyama Shopping District. We see various characters going about their daily lives, each one unique.

A romantic love story is presented, and an overweight bird searches for the next princess. It’s not dull, I promise.

34.) Outbreak Company

See the source image

Outbreak Company is based on the same-named fifteen-volume Light Novel and is a love letter to the media. Otaku culture is frequently mocked as a common form of storytelling. The doujinshi is more potent than the sword in Outbreak Company.

If our values are not the same, a conflict may arise due to our differences. Outbreak Company is, first and foremost, a comedy, and it excels at it.

The comedic elements and stereotypes that were played out were the best.

35.) A Place Further Than The Universe

See the source image

A Place Further Than The Universe is ranked first on our list of wholesome anime. This is the show for you if you’re looking for pure adventure and joy. A core group of four girls is determined to see something unusual or new in this world.

After one of the girls goes missing, they all journey to Antarctica to look for their missing mothers. You are invited to accompany the girls on their journey.

Each episode feels fresh, the pacing is perfect, and the world is so real you’ll have to remind yourself that it’s all made up.

36.) Nisekoi

See the source image

The series is called Nisekoi (Fictitious Love) because the male and female protagonists begin in a fake relationship to keep the peace between their families.

For those who enjoy wholesome anime, there is an animated adaptation of Nisekoi that aired for 20 episodes throughout two seasons. Yeah, I want to be wholesome in my life!

37.) Skilled Teaser Takagi-san

See the source image

Skilled Teaser Takagi San is one of the most refreshing, wholesome anime. It instantly improves your mood. If you enjoy romance, this is the show for you.

You’ll like watching the chemistry between Nishikata and Takagi. The cuteness is overwhelming. Overall, a delightful anime to watch.

38.) My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!

See the source image

My Next Life as a Villainess features a young girl named Katarina Klaus, a self-righteous, pampered brat. This anime is a unique take on the isekai genre.

The entire anime series can be summarized in one sentence: “You either die the villain or live long enough to see yourself become the hero.” A hundred stories like this have never left the Manga world.

The reincarnation as a villain story has become so overused that it has almost become its genre.
