The 36+ Most Beautiful Anime Girls Who Will Sweep You Off Your Feet

How do you define what makes an anime girl beautiful?

As cliché as it is, beauty really is in the eye of the beholder when all is said and done. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t similar tastes among which anime girl we consider beautiful.

So with that said, here’s my personal list of 36+ characters worth mentioning.

Some of which you might have never seen. 😉

1. Juvia Lockser (Fairy Tail)

Juvia is the water mage from Fairy Tail, who joins the FT guild after Phantom Lord is defeated.

Even though she’s obsessive and what some would call “overbearing”, her beauty is undeniable.

And let’s not forget about her unwavering loyalty towards Gray Fullbuster. She’s the ideal Waifu.

2. Umiko Ahagon (New Game!)

Umiko Ahagon is the lead programmer for the company: Eagle Jump in New Game!

She’s the type to not fool around when its time to hustle, grind and make things happen. With strong leadership skills.

All seriousness aside, she has a soft side, a beautiful design, and is one of the few black girls in the world of anime.

Umiko’s one of my all time favourites.

3. Eureka (Eureka Seven)

Eureka is the main star of the show in the Mecha/mystery series based in a fantasy world.

Eureka isn’t just a beautiful character in general, but she has a beautiful personality to go with her looks.

Plus she’s gentle, modest, empathetic and relatable.

4. Nagahide Niwa (The Ambition Of Oda Nobuna)

Nagahide is one of the beauty princesses (pun intended) in Oda Nobuna’s army. And unlike the typical anime girls of her type, she’s far from a “damsel in distress” as she’s a capable warrior.

Her good looks and charms are nice additions to her overall character, intellect, and interesting personality.

5. Iris Cannary (Violet Evergarden)

Iris Cannary is an anime girl most fans will relate to. Because aside from her strong personality and determination, she’s vulnerable and has a few insecurities that make her relatable.

And of course she’s beautiful, like almost ALL the characters in Violet Evergarden.

6. Alisa Ilinichina (God Eater)

Alisa has the same voice as Lucy Heartfilia in the dubbed version of God Eater. And like Lucy, she has a soft side. Except in Alisa’s case – this is caused by a deep emotional trauma from her childhood.

On the outside she’s this strong, brave and beautiful character who will do whatever it takes to succeed. But underneath is a scarred (and terrified) girl reaching out for help

Personally It’s the reason I like Alisa’s character A LOT, despite God Eater being a short series.

7. Karen Tendou (Gamers)

Karen Tendou is the “cliché” type of character with blonde hair, green eyes and glowing skin. But that doesn’t change how beautiful she is as an anime character.

And similar to Eureka, she has a beautiful personality that blends well with her looks. With enough flaws to make her relatable and far from perfect in a literal sense.

8. Anemone (Eureka Seven)

Anemone is one of the support characters seen in Eureka Seven, who shows up on occasion.

In the beginning of Eureka Seven, Anemone gives off a dark, cruel, wicked vibe. Giving you the impression that she’s an evil character.

But what you see later is this is just one side to her coin, with the other side showing off her warm, feisty personality. Making her all the more beautiful in more ways than one.

9. Yoruichi Shihoin (Bleach)

Yoruichi Shihoin is known as one of the “hottest” anime girls in the anime community, no matter who you ask online. It’s no surprise because Bleach itself is one of the TOP shows of all time.

Yoruichi rarely if ever dresses in conventional women’s clothes. And she has a habit of teasing others and being sarcastic.

Her playful personality, strong independence, intellect and beauty makes Yoruichi an anime character few anime girls can compete with.

10. Akame (Akame Ga Kill)

Akame is the silent type with few words to say to anyone (unless the topic is food). But in all seriousness this stems from her heart-breaking childhood and upbringing.

A childhood no worse than being raised by the devil himself.

She fights with a purpose, rarely complains, stays focused and will give her heart to anyone she feels is worth being loyal to. And that’s what I love about Akame.

11. Alice Nakiri (Food Wars)

Alice Nakiri is the kind of woman I’d date if she was real.

What makes her stand out is her innovative ways of thinking (especially when it comes to cooking), and relentless persistence.

Not to mention the way she strives to improve and reach new levels of skill, talent and success.

This to me is what makes her “beautiful” besides her looks and overall design.

12. Akane Kowata (Flying Witch)

Akane Kowata is the type of girl I’d hang out and chill with, because like myself she’s laid back, care free and a happy person in general.

Akane’s also the older sister of Makoto Kowata in the anime: Flying Witch, an anime you should watch if you’re into slice of life.

13. Cattleya Baudelaire (Violet Evergarden)

Cattleya doesn’t get as much screen time as other characters in Violet Evergarden, but she seems like a nice person with a playful personality.

And of course – she’s one of the most beautiful anime girls seen in Violet Evergarden.

14. Lucy Heartfilia (Fairy Tail)

Lucy Heartfilia is one of the more beautiful anime characters ever seen in the industry.

Besides her obvious physical attributes, what I love most about Lucy is her caring attitude towards friends and strangers. And, of course – her refreshing outlook on life.

If you ask me Lucy Heartfilia has too many haters who hate for the sake of it.

15. Ayame Yomogawa (Kabaneri Of The Iron Fortress)

Ayame is royalty in Kabaneri Of The Iron Fortress. So it’s no surprise she’s treated like royalty (pun intended).

But unlike her comrades and those who look out for her, she has a deep sense of empathy and love towards friends and strangers. Genuinely caring about the well-being of others and even putting their best interests before her own.

When you realize this anime is a horror series, with the state of humanity itself in danger of being wiped out, it’s amazing how thoughtful Ayame is compared to other characters in Kabaneri Of The Iron Fortress.

I love this element about her most (beauty aside). She refuses to let fear cloud her judgment, and that takes a lot of courage to pull off.

16. Holo The Wise Wolf (Spice And Wolf)

Holo is “the wise wolf” for a reason: she’s smart, intelligent, and has the guts to back it up with action.

Kraft Lawrence knows this, and it’s one of the reasons they both partner up together in Spice And Wolf.

And it helps that she has beauty to go with her looks, making Holo even more charming and persuasive.

17. Emilia (Re Zero)

Some anime fans love REM. Others love RAM. And I actually like them both (I like Ram more).

But in the end, Emila gets my vote. She’s the most beautiful Re Zero.

One of her best personality traits is her kindness and willingness to return a favour.

It’s so easy to take from others, and give NOTHING back in return. Because that’s what most people are programmed to do.

So it’s a refreshing personality trait to see in an anime, and it’s one of the reasons I love Emila from Re Zero.

18. Balsa Yonsa (Guardian Of The Sacred Spirit)

When it comes to anime character designs, Balsa is one of my favourites. For a female character, she lacks cliché’s, both in personality and physical attributes.

She’s headstrong, focused, knows how to fight, and is firm enough to let others know where they stand.

Balsa has a character depth few anime girls (or women) could ever compare to.

19. Ursula Callistis (Little Witch Academia)

Ursula isn’t your typical anime girl. Not by design, looks, style or anything.

And the more you watch Little Witch Academia, the more you start to realize this fact. As well as how there’s much more to her character than a kind personality and a pair of glasses.

20. Julis Alexia Van Riessfeld (Asterisk War)

Julis is a princess, but that’s not what makes her beautiful. In fact she’s the opposite definition of what a real princess is like.

She’s fiercely independent, feisty, determined, stubborn and modest, wrapped into one beautiful package.

21. Violet Evergarden (Violet Evergarden)

Of course how can you not include Violet Evergarden on a list like this?

She’s an orphan who’s been through hell, only to later discover what it means to love, and be loved by another person. An experience that makes her character development as beautiful as her design.

22. Belldandy (Ah My Goddess)

Belldandy is the “Waifu” almost all guys would want. Because she’s thoughtful, committed, and would never think of cheating on her partner. But there’s much more to it than that.

This kind of loyalty is rare to find in the real world, among Belldandy’s other personality traits.

23. Mash Kyrielight (Fate Grand Order)

Mash Kyrielight doesn’t get much love, but she’s easily one of the most beautiful anime girls in the Fate universe.

She’s unique enough to stand out without being too similar to characters like Saber.

24. Celica Arfonia (Rokudenashi)

Blonde hair and a black dress. With an uncomfortable amount of power, independence and authority.

Celica Arfonia is a beautiful anime character with an unusual look for a girl who wields magic power.

25. Urd (Ah My Goddess)

Urd is actually the sister of Belldandy from Ah My Goddess. Who loves to tease the main character Keiichi.

Seeing as the anime itself has the word “goddess” it’s no surprise the women resemble what you’d imagine a goddess to look like.

26. Mirajane Strauss (Fairy Tail)

Mirajane is one of the models for Sorcerers weekly in Fairy Tail, so it goes without saying she’d be on this list.

Similar to Belldandy, she ticks a lot of boxes which is why a lot of anime fans rate her one of the TOP female Fairy Tail characters.

27. Azusa Murasaka (Orange)

Azusa is a “babe” and one of the most beautiful anime girls by design. In the anime: Orange she plays the support role of doing whatever it takes to help her friends. And won’t stand for any BS that tries to come in between her unbreakable loyalty.

She kind of reminds me of a Lioness being protective of her cubs.

28. Nao Tomori (Charlotte)

Just look at that smile. Few anime smiles are as beautiful as Nao Tomori’s.

Behind that smile is a woman who will do whatever it takes to make things right, without being unethical or dishonest to get what she wants.

29. Jeanne D’Arc (Fate Apocrypha)

Not even Saber can stand side by side with Jeanne D’Arc when it comes to beauty.

And if we compared their stories and characters, I’d have to say Jeanne D’Arc is the more interesting one.

30. Minerva (Fairy Tail)

Minerva’s foreign looks and gorgeous design puts her in a league of her own when compared to Fairy Tail characters.

Her backstory and character development is what I think is most beautiful about Minerva, besides her design. Flaws are what make a character so interesting to watch and connect with.

31. Konori Mii (A Certain Scientific Railgun)

Characters like Mikoto Misaka may be the stars of Railgun. But in the beauty department is obvious Konori Mii takes the cake (and even eats it).

She doesn’t seem to get much love in the anime community so I had to mention her.

32. Suzune Horikita (Classroom Of The Elite)

Suzune Horikita doesn’t like to rely on people. But she’s smart enough to know that relying on others is necessary to make progress.

She’s a nice mesh of beauty and brains, with a hard ass personality and a sealed off heart that few will ever get close to.

33. Teletha Testarossa (Full Metal Panic)

Teletha is the leader of Mithril, a secret military group who targets terrorists across the globe.

Is it me, or are white-haired anime girls designed to be beautiful in more ways than one?

34. Tenten (Naruto)

Whether her hair is down or tied up, Tenten is a gorgeous character. And easily one of the best looking girls in Naruto.

It’s not just her looks or dress style, but character, her spirit, and how she carries herself.

She’s accountable to herself and is more feminine than she appears.

35. Nadia (Nadia: Secrets Of The Blue Water)

Nadia is a forgotten anime character from 1990, when the anime released.

The anime is about Nadia and her journey to find her lost home in Africa (where she’s from).

She’s one of the few black anime girls drawn in a non-stereotypical way, and one who’s represented to a degree you don’t see these days.

Beautiful.

36. Morgiana (Magi Series)

Morgiana is the ex-slave girl from the Magi series. Maroon colored hair is a signature of her race called the Fanalis.

Despite her tragic backstory and trauma, she chooses to overcome the past and maintains a positive outlook on the world.

Even though super strength is a trait of her race, she’s easily one of the most feminine of her kind. With a beautiful smile and appearance, inside and out.
