Drip is a common American slang term you’ll see on Twitter these days, and other platforms.
It’s what someone from London would call “peng” or up north in the UK would call “bum” when talking about style and clothing.
School anime aren’t the best anime to see characters with stylish clothing, so called swag or “drip”.
There are plenty anime out there that qualify though, and so do the characters.
Let’s talk about it.
Anime Characters With Drip:
1. Ash Ketchum (Pokemon)
Ash Ketchum has been one of the best dressed anime characters from the beginning.
In fact he’s one of the first anime characters to start flexing his cap backwards on occasion.
He’s “drippy” as some in the US like to say.
2. Kintaro Oe (Golden Boy)
Kintaro Oe from Golden Boy is official. And one of the most old school characters there is in anime.
His dress style can’t be denied.

3. Rika Kawai (Wonder Egg Priority)
Everything about her design is fresh to me. The red jacket draws attention by force.
That matches with the blue jeans loosely.
Wonder Egg Priority is known for its “colors”.
4. Ai Ohto (Wonder Egg Priority)
So simple yet it works. Yellow was a good choice of color (it’s actually the color your eyes notice before any other).

5. Kurozuma Wataru (A Certain Scientific Railgun)
Kurozuma is relatable. He’s as street as they come and it shows in his attire. Except he has a knack for style.
Probably one of the most underrated characters who shows up in Railgun.
6. Mochizuki Touya (In Another World With My Smartphone)
Say what you want about the anime, but you can’t tell me the coat ain’t on point.
One of the best dressed characters in anime. Despite the “same face” syndrome.
7. Subaru Natsuki (Re:Zero)
You gotta give it to the guy. Might not be the most flashy outfit, but it matches from head to toe.
Subaru’s always stood out as a character for his style alone.
8. Lance (Voltron)
Lance from Voltron and his classic jacket speaks for itself.
He’s always stood out.
9. Yuu Otosaka (Charlotte)
I hesitate, but it’s not bad.
The anime didn’t show enough of it and in general, the characters aren’t dressed like that.
10. Ryouma Echizen (Prince Of Tennis)
The main character Ryouma is the best dressed of anyone.
Even when not playing Tennis, he proves this point.
11. Characters from Cowboy Bebop
Cowboy Bebop has always had some of the most stylish anime characters. Women and men, boys and girls.
Faye Valentine is a perfect example with the yellow and red.
Spike is another character in a suit who shows off the anime’s stylish designs.

12. Satou Matsuzaka (Happy Sugar Life)
Not the brightest image, but it’s not a bad look when you see it up close.
Satou in a hoodie is a good flex.
13. Mikoto Misaka (Railgun)
She’s not the most “diverse” for outfits, but she’s got the vibes.
When she’s not in Tokiwadai Middle School and she’s off investigating, Mikoto Misaka knows how to flex.
14. Aburame Shino (Naruto)
Shino’s always had the flex from day one. Ironically that leads to Naruto forgetting about him early in Shippuden.
He’s an underrated character in Naruto.
15. Sanji (One Piece)
Sanji’s always chosen to look smart over anything else. That’s been his style since day one.
Probably one of the most famous anime characters who dresses in suits and anything similar.
16. Atsushi Nakajima (Bungou Stray Dogs)
Atsushi Nakajima is the main character of this series. And one of the best dressed.
For the style of anime that is, it’s an unusual set of clothing. But it works and it’s stylish.
17. Osamu Dazai (Bungou Stray Dogs)
Osamu Dazai is the other main character of this anime. And chooses to wear suits and coats over hoodies.
Given the oddball characters of this series, it’s not surprising everyone’s style is different, but unique.
Yosano Akiko is another one.
18. Kyoka Jiro (My Hero Academia)
It’s more about how she flexes it than anything else.
She easily is one of the best dressed in MHA and has a taste for fashion.
19. Future Trunks (DBZ)
Doesn’t matter what version of Future Trunks you choose. The result is the same.
Trunks as always been different from everyone else by style.
20. Laxus Dreyar (Fairy Tail)
Can’t tell me nothing about Laxus. Best dressed in FT.
His style is creative and more intentional than most.
21. Asuna, Suguha, Kirito (Ordinal Scale)
I like the ordinal scale outfits more than any other in the SAO series.
Kirito as the black swordsman is another one worth mentioning.
Honorable Mentions:
- Daisuke Jigen (Lupin III).
- Nicholas D. Wolfwood (Trigun).
- Yosano Akiko (Bungou Stray Dogs).
