20+ Savage Anime Characters Who Just Don’t Give A F

Savage anime characters can be defined in more ways than one.

For example:

  • Characters who are violent.
  • Characters who have a “I don’t give  a F” attitude.
  • Characters who don’t bite their tongue and speak without restraint.
  • And anime characters who are villains, harsh, or unhinged.

These are the types of savage anime characters you can expect to see in this post.

Let’s talk about it.

Here’s a list.

1. Regulus Corneas (Re:Zero)

Regulus Corneas Re Zero greed

One of the major villains in Re:Zero and one of the most powerful. His authority is “greed”, and that depicts his personality, similar to the Espada in Bleach with their aspects of death.

Regulus is a savage who can only think of himself, hates being ignored by others, and loves talking about himself, but has the power to back up his bullshit.

2. Keyaruga (Redo Of Healer)

Keyaruga Redo Of Healer

Keyaruga as he calls himself after the fact, is the main protagonist who was defiled by the kingdom’s princess, only to get revenge in the most savage way possible.

Redo Of Healer is swimming with savages, so it’s unsurprising that the villains of this series turn many peaceful characters into savages themselves, in order to survive and thrive.

3. Revy Rebecca (Black Lagoon)

Revy Rebecca Black Lagoon

Revy, AKA – “two hands” is the main female character and as some fans would say, badass of Black Lagoon.

She’s attractive, appealing to the eye, but more importantly, she has depth to her character and a tragic backstory. Her story is why she’s a savage in the first place.

She works under Dutch, the main black male protagonist and owner of The Lagoon Company which is involved in smuggling.

4. Sasuke Uchiha (Naruto)

Sasuke Uchiha Naruto savage

Sasuke Uchiha has some savageness in him brought about by his tragic childhood. Though it’s more accurate to say his childhood was perfect until it became devastatingly tragic.

With revenge on his mind as a kid, it’s only right to include Sasuke on this list.

He’s had plenty of moments from start to finish.

5. Vegeta (Saiyan/Namek Saga)

Vegeta Saiyan Namek Saga

Vegeta is one of the ultimate savages on this list for one reason: his originality, upbringing, and influence on Shounen characters.

He’s original because he was doing it from 1989 onwards. He’s a savage because Frieza f*cked up his life and made him that way, and savage characters who have come about in modern anime are a result of Vegeta being an icon.

The Namek saga is a perfect example that showcases Vegeta’s savagery to the max.

6. Toji Fushiguro (Jujutsu Kaisen)

Toji Fushiguro Jujutsu Kaisen savage e1695123542500

As anime fans witnessed in the anime series Jujutsu Kaisen S2, Toji was a major villain and powerhouse in the world of JJK. At first, he didn’t seem too much of a threat, but once he fought Gojo, it was clear.

Gojo struggled helplessly as he was slashed, slapped, punched, whacked, dropped, and seemingly murdered with too much ease.

Toji’s whole personality is genuine as well, it’s not pretentious at all in the context of savagery.

7. Dazai (Bungou Stray Dogs)

Dazai Bungou Stray Dogs smirk

Dazai is dressed up as a character who’s weird, obsessed with suicide, oddly cheerful and relaxed in the most serious situations. He’s not to be taken seriously.

In reality, he’s also not to be taken lightly and when relevant, he shows his inner savage when he’s ready.

Let’s not forget he was a major part of the PORT MAFIA in the anime’s backstory.

8. Tartaros (Fairy Tail)

Tartaros Fairy Tail

Tartaros is a gang essentially. They’re the underworld demons created by Zeref in Fairy Tail. And they’re also one of the most savage villains in all of Fairy Tail history.

They got away with murder more than once which isn’t a common sight in Fairy Tail, and that’s what made the Tatatos arc in Fairy Tail not only intense but one of the anime’s best arcs.

9. Hyakunosuke Ogata (Golden Kamuy)

Hyakunosuke Ogata Golden Kamuy

Ogata has always been shady from the beginning of Golden Kamuy. He’s the type of man who can talk, persuade, sell water to a fish, and work his way through and out of any situation like a snake.

That’s exactly what he is.

His past speaks volumes. It’s not just savage, it’s cruel, wicked, disturbed, and messed up beyond reason.

10. Goku Black (Dragon Ball Super)

Goku Black Dragon Ball Super smirk

Goku Black made his case when he first arrived in DB Super, only to slaughter the Gods, Goku’s wife Chi Chi, and so many more people in the name of justice.

He did it and does it all with a smile and an evil grin. And he does it with conviction.

There’s a reason Goku Black (and the arc) is so favoured in DB Super.

11. Kazuma Satou (Konosuba)

Kazuma Satou Konosuba

Kazuma is an introvert, a NEET, and in some ways, similar to Subaru Natsuki from Re:Zero. But he’s much more of a savage in a comedic kind of way.

When it comes to his companion – Goddess Aqua, he rips into her, disses her beyond necessity, berates her, and calls her out on her bullshit without hesitation.

He’s this way with Megumin as well, though their relationship becomes more than just fighting.

12. Yuno Gasai (Mirrai Nikki)

Yuno Gasai Mirai Nikki

Yuno Gasai is the type of pink-haired Yandere (and one of the originals) who doesn’t f*ck around with anyone. No matter the enemy, she’s willing to take them down fearlessly.

She’ll do it in the name of love, romance, or even in the name of madness and a demented way of viewing certain parts of the world.

Her loyalty, typical of a Yandere, is what makes some of her personality softer.

13. Mikoto Kibitsu (Peach Boy Riverside)

Mikoto Kibitsu Peach Boy Riverside

Mikoto Kibitsu is the peach boy of this series. He’s unusually powerful, a strong swordsman, and one who fights for the pleasure of killing demons. He has bloodlust when doing so.

Even the most powerful demons are cautious of him.

In general, especially to those he cares for, he’s relaxed, easygoing, and even smiles a lot. But his inner darkness is twisted and savage.

14. Majima (Lycoris Recoil)

Majima Lycoris Recoil

Majima with green hair, a smug face, and evil grins is the villain of the Lycoris Recoil series. He’s a bit mad, and that plays into his backstory which is typical.

Even though his methods are questionable, some of his ideas are understandable.

Either way, ‘he’s a definite savage.

15. Satou Matsuzaka (Happy Sugar Life)

Satou Matsuzaka Happy Sugar Life

Satou is a pink-haired, innocent seeming girl who gets along with everyone, is kind, compassionate, attentive, and good-looking.

Even girls admire Satou, and boys wanna date her.

This anime is a horror/psychological series, and we quickly see the underbelly of Satou’s life which involves a little kid she plays “marriage” with, and claims to love, and they also live together.

Satou has the delusion of living in her own castle and protecting it from outsiders, which is a way of saying hiding things she wouldn’t wanna be caught doing.

One side of her coin is sweet, the other is savage, demented, and disturbed.

16. Accelerator (A Certain Magical Index)

Accelerator A Certain Magical

Accelerator is a lot like Regulus Corneas, or I should say the other way around. He’s stronger than necessary, has all the power in the world, and no one can challenge him on the surface.

He’s used to being #1 and his world is shattered when a seemingly weak character defeats him in battle.

Acelerator is a savage by nature, but a savage with a heart for the right people. He understands people fundamentally and has little trust given the pretentiousness that comes with many people.

17. Hina (Hinamatsuri)

Hina Hinamatsuri snow

Hina is a funny character in this slice of life series. She has supernatural powers, and the introduction to the series is random and weird, nothing out of the ordinary.

She then starts demanding things from a head Yakuza man and threatens him with her powers if he doesn’t comply. She drives Nita, has he’s called, right up the wall.

This is in contrast to Anzu, who’s the more sweet and modest character who’s grateful and appreciative.

18. Priscilla Barielle (Re:Zero)

Priscilla Barielle Re Zero candidate

Priscilla is one of the candidates for the throne of Ligunica in Re Zero. She’s arrogant, spoiled, selfish, has too much pride, and likes to look down on other people’s suffering.

She’s always had what she wanted from childhood given her family bloodline and position, and most of all, she’s a savage who doesn’t care much for others unless it fits her interests.

That being said, she does have qualities but they’re drowned by her bad attitude.

19. Koko Hekmatyar (Jormungand)

Koko Hekmatyar Jormungand

Koko is the leader in the series, the main girl, and the head boss of her company. She runs a business in the arms dealing world and is a millionaire, attracting plenty of haters who are willing to kill her off.

She’s easygoing, laid back, extroverted, and has a knack for danger, risk, and can laugh through it.

Underneath the happy demeanour is a savage in an underworld that requires you to be a savage in order to survive and thrive.

20. Karma Akabane (Assassination Classroom)

Karma Akabane Assassination Classroom

Karma is a stand-out character in Assassination Classroom. He has red hair, an attitude, knows how to fight, and is one of the highlights of the series when it comes to fights between human characters.

When he’s serious, he can surprise himself with what he’s capable of. But pride is his earliest weakness.

21. Esdeath (Akame Ga Kill)

Esdeath Akame Ga Kill leader

Esdeath murdered 100’s of thousands of people in the Akame Ga Kill series, and those are known murders. She oppresses others, is bloodthirsty, hungers for war, and cares little for the consequences of her actions.

Her actions are justified by her mentality of “survival of the fittest. The strong survive, the weak perish”.

She’s also strong enough to back up this attitude, making her one to approach with caution.

22. Frieza (Dragon Ball Z)

Frieza Dragon Ball Z namek

And then there’s Frieza, the ultimate savage himself. He’s an oppressor, an abuser, a bully, and someone who’s destroyed millions of lives, played a role in the destruction of civilizations, and is a blatant racist (objectively).

This is why Frieza deserved all the karma he got over the years, but he’s also become a likeable villain for the fact he refuses to change who he is despite evolving and learning from his mistakes.
