55+ Recommended Anime To Start Watching on Crunchyroll!

Written by Anga

The most extensive library of anime is available on Crunchyroll.

Crunchyroll is an anime-focused streaming service with one of its headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. It was founded in 2006.

Since the most recent episodes are made available on the platform one hour after their Japanese premiere, it is ideal for watching ongoing programs. Earlier in 2022, Funimation and Crunchyroll united, expanding their already sizable library.

There are no reasons to miss out on some excellent anime when Crunchyroll is available for free download. This list will help you decide which anime to watch next and what I thought were some of the greatest.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed that I can persuade any beginner to watch.

Stick with me as we go over the list of 50+ Anime to Watch in Crunchyroll.

1.) My Hero Academia

See the source image

In the superhero universe, having “Quirks” gives you the ability to be remarkable.

In MHA, we follow Izuku Midoriya as he transforms from a wimp to a heroic figure. It’s a show with great action and touching scenes that made me cry several times.

You can root for a wide range of characters in class 1-A that the show truly concentrates on as you watch them all go closer to becoming Pro Heroes.

2.) Dragon Ball Z

See the source image

You should watch this original to see how far this show has progressed since it’s the newest addition to Crunchyroll.

I recognize that Dragon Ball Super is the latest and most excellent, but you should check out this original continuation of Dragon Ball to see the plot that ruled the anime world in the 1990s.

Although the animation may appear old-fashioned, the combat is still of the highest caliber.

3.) Attack on Titan

It’s a program that has swept the anime community and is a personal favorite of mine.

21.) Dragon Ball Super

See the source image

Anyone who is anyone grew up watching Dragon Ball Z. Dragon Ball Super was essentially a remake of Dragon Ball GT, which critics have noted received mixed reviews.

After the Majin Buu era, this novel perspective on Goku’s narrative has caught fans’ attention and given the franchise the much-needed second wind. More Dragon Ball was precisely what both old and new fans desired, thanks to the enhanced animation style and narrative.

27.) JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure

See the source image

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is unlike most animes because it has multiple main protagonists. It chronicles the history associated with the last name Joestar and the tale of the Joestar family through the generations.

The most common powers are “Stands,” which are like an extension of the user and come in various nice and weird forms. It’s a novel approach to narrative that focuses on how this Family evolved into warriors and how they have repeatedly battled evil.

28.) Inuyasha

See the source image

Kagome is transported to a different time and place when a demon drags her down her Family’s well. There, she meets Inuyasha, a half-demon, half-human looking for a jewel of great power.

29.) One-punch Man

See the source image

There are several overpowered heroes on this list, but none more so than Saitama, who can essentially take down the majority of bad guys with a single punch.

Saitama eventually grows bored as a result of never having to face one of the many monsters that plague the city.

When you witness Saitama’s unenthusiastic face when battling foes unless he is shopping, which seems to be his primary passion, this idea makes for an interesting perspective on the superhero genre and contributes to some excellent laughs.

30.) One Piece

See the source image

One Piece is not for the faint of heart; it is one of the longest-running anime and manga series. Commitment is essential if you choose to start watching this program.

Even though Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates’ piratical exploits are innumerable at this time, they provide a rich, deep narrative that can only be found in a show that has been running since 1999.

As they seek the prized artefact “One Piece,” which will make Luffy the new Pirate King, Luffy, and his crewmates make for excellent heroes.

33.) Trigun

See the source image

Although Vash the Stampede is a pacifist who prefers to be a lover over a combatant and is sought for sixty billion dollars, he can’t help wreaking havoc on every place he enters.

For me, it started slowly, but Vash’s sympathetic and humorous approach to solving problems always made an episode attractive, no matter how filler-like. Another excellent show that you can watch very quickly and without devoting a lot of time.

34.) Rurouni Kenshin

See the source image

Himura Kenshin, a former vicious assassin, now tours the Japanese countryside helping anyone in need as a kind of atonement for the murders he has committed.

Both of these shows, which are based on the life of young Naruto Uzumaki, depict various aspects of the ninja’s development. The majority of Naruto takes place during his initial years of ninja training.

His immaturity downplays his aspirations to succeed in his village’s current Hokage, leading to criticism. He also discovers the significance of the Nine-Tailed Fox’s power, which was sealed within his body as a baby, during this time.

We witness a more experienced and skilled ninja in Naruto Shippuden, along with information about the hosts of other tailed beasts who are being taken and slain for unexplained reasons.

38.) Jujutsu Kaisen

See the source image

When I think of sorcerers, Harry Potter immediately springs to mind, but this isn’t the kind of magic. People emit cursed energy in the realm of Jujutsu Kaisen through their negative emotions, which breed cursed creatures.

In addition to learning how to regulate their cursed power, sorcerers are also taught how to use it to break the curses that want to end humanity.

Anybody who watches the show will become a fan of Yuji Itadori, the protagonist character, even though Gojo is another fan favorite. It’s a crazy idea that’s executed brilliantly.

39.) Haikyuu!

See the source image

I never imagined that I would enjoy watching a sports anime since I reasoned that there wouldn’t be any substantial risks involved. Boy, was I mistaken when I eventually jumped onto Haikyu!

40.) Sword Art Online

See the source image

Imagine deciding to play a VR MMORPG game and discovering that you are unable to exit the game until you pass away or someone else completes it.

This amazing anime’s premise is that Kazuto Kirigaya is a young man living in a simulation with severe repercussions. However, be warned that the violence increases in intensity with each season; Season 4 surprised me with this.

41.) Fire Force

See the source image

This concert is for any pyro fans out there.

It’s another addictive show with fantastic animation and rich storytelling that has you rooting for not only Shinra but all of the Company 8 members, especially Arthur, whose goofy persona sometimes makes him the most brilliant fighter.

49.) Shinobi No Ittoki

See the source image

Although Shinobi No Ittoki is not an isekai series, it has a very isekai vibe. Even the first episode’s protagonist fleeing from his pursuers had a Truck-Kun moment. The main character of Shinobi No Ittoki is Ittoki Sakuraba.

Although he appears to be a typical middle schooler, the Koga clan’s extraordinary attack has turned his life upside down.

It turns out that Ittoki is the 19th heir to the Iga ninja clan, but until the episode, his family had never told him. After that, he is moved to a ninja school to learn the ins and outs of his new life.

Although Shinobi No Ittoki, which airs on Crunchyroll every Tuesday, isn’t exactly inventing the wheel, it is undoubtedly amusing.
