Manga is the underbelly of anime, and oftentimes, it’s what anime is made from.
- Heavenly Delusion.
- Oshi No Ko.
- The Promised Neverland (before it flopped).
- MHA.
- One Piece.
And many more turn into GREAT anime because of the manga.

When I first started these posts in 2016, Myanmar or Mongolia were never on the list so high.
But now in 2023 and beyond, both countries dominate anime and manga as far as demand and how much they embrace the culture.
Iraq, in the Middle East, and Algeria, in North Africa, are 2 surprising entries on this list I have to say.
Let’s see what the next few years bring, including 2024!
