So many anime in 2019 and so little time to watch them all…
But I do have more than a handful I wanna see.
So with that said, here are 15+ shows I’m looking forward to seeing. Which I’ll definitely be watching no matter what happens.
The Best Anime Of 2019:
1. A Certain Scientific Railgun Season 3
Railgun was first made in 2007 as a
So it’s been ages since we’ve had anything so far. Almost 10 years.
Now a third season is on the way, and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next.
A Certain Scientific Railgun is one of my favourite Supernatural series of all time, with a solid example of a strong “female” protagonist with good qualities.
Hopefully, they won’t disappoint.
2. My Hero Academia Season 4
This is cliche and unsurprising, but whatever. I love
I can’t think of any
With every season
The writers seem to be working at a good pace with the series and nothing feels rushed or out of place.
I expect big things in 2019!
3. One Punch Man Season 2
One Punch Man was supposed to be released in 2018. But that never happened. Now as things stand it’s looking to release in 2019 with lots of hints and new videos to prove it.
While One Punch Man isn’t my TOP anime show, I love it for its originality and the way it mocks other cliche
Doing it in a way that makes One Punch Man feel brand new and refreshing.
And this time around we’ll get to see just how powerful Saitama really is.
4. Magical Girl: Spec Ops Asuka
The Magical Girl genre, even though it seems like there are a lot of anime within it, is actually smaller than you think. Meaning there’s not 1000’s of magical girl series.
That said – Spec Ops Asuka looks like it has the potential to be a popular magical girl anime like
It’s set to be one of the bloodiest, dark series we’ve seen in this genre. Plus it’s Seinen so I’m looking forward to seeing how that makes it stand out
It’s adapted from a
5. Granblue Fantasy The Animation (Season 2)
Granblue Fantasy is a personal favourite in the adventure genre.
You get to see a lot of scenes, backgrounds, towns and chemistry between the characters that travel together in a fantasy world.
2019 is set to release a 2nd season and I’ll be watching it when that happens!
6. The Promised Neverland
Remember how
Well, The Promised Neverland is set to be “the Violet Evergarden” of 2019. With a lot of anticipation for what’s to come.
Mostly because it’s been adapted from a light novel series.
Let’s hope it lives up to the hype, unlike
7. Compulsive Gambler (Season 2)
Compulsive Gambler (Kakegurui) was a decent series when it first released.
It’s a mixture of
Psychologically the 1st season was pretty smart. So who knows what season 2 will bring, but it should be good (or even better).
8. Kouya no Kotobuki Hikoutai
If you’ve watched
I don’t know too much about Kouya No Kotobuki, except that it’s an action,
9. YU-NO: A girl who chants love at the bound of this world
This is originally taken from a video game. Released way back in 1996!
The title is what’s drawn me in. As for the anime? It has some time-traveling aspects involved.
Let’s see what happens.
10. Made In Abyss (Season 2)
Made in Abyss was a good show. Not as good as
There’s no confirmed release date for Made In Abyss season 2, but it’s set for 2019.
Probably wintertime.
11. Fate/Grand Order: Zettai Majuu Sensen Babylonia
Ever since Fate Grand Order in 2017, I’ve been wanting the movie to continue into a full series.
And now we’re getting it.
Just like Made In Abyss, there’s no official release date but it’s being produced by a1 Pictures (same studio as
12. Kantai Collection Season 2
It’s been a few years since the first Kantai Collection. I love
The 2nd season for this
13. Young Again in Another World
The last thing that happened with this series was that it got cancelled. And we’ve not heard much since.
Adapted from a
14. Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record
As a fan of this
Hopefully, they’re not just milking the series and will actually release something worth watching. As part of the
15. Bungou Stray Dogs (Season 3)
And then there’s Bungou Stray Dogs season 3 to finish up this post.
This is a weird series with even stranger characters. Each with their own personality and personal challenges.
It’s like the modern-day version of Baccano, but better. And it’s looking like there will be an official release in 2019.

2019 “might” be a good year for the anime industry
And with other shows like Attack On Titan coming in 2019, who knows what the year holds and how successful it’ll be?
