Amazon has a decent catalogue of relevant anime shows.
They cover genres like:
- Shounen
- Slice Of Life

- Action
- Fantasy
- Romance
And a few others.
Here’s the recommended anime to watch on Amazon prime.
1. Toradora
Toradora is one of my low-key favorite anime shows in the slice of life genre.
Funny as F, colorful personalities and satisfying plot twists that pay off the more you watch it.
2. Babylon
Babylon is a 12 episode anime series. Produced by Revoroot. It’s in the mystery/psychological genre and adapted from a

3. Angels Of Death

4. Kabaneri Of The Iron Fortress
Kabaneri Of The Iron Fortress is one of Wit Studio’s anime that I prefer over Attack On Titan.
Either way – if you like AOT, this is a good alternative and worth watching.
5. Rage Of Bahamut Virgin Soul
Rage Of Bahamut Virgin Soul was made in 2017 by MAPPA studios. And is adopted from a card-game and has a lot of violence, magic and adventure elements.

Elfen Lied is one of my favorite horror anime. And is one of the biggest as well.
Expect a lot of violence, gore, sadness and depressing scenes from start to finish. With a little humor when it counts.
8. The Great Passage
Aired in 2016, The Great Passage is a slice of life drama series. With 11 episodes in total.
It’s about the characters love for dictionaries, and their goal to create Japan’s greatest. But they make it more interesting than it sounds on the surface.
9. Grand Blue Dreaming
Grand Blue Dreaming made in 2018 is a slice of life comedy Seinen. And is a high rated show across the board.
10. Sankarea: Undying Love
Sankarea: Undying Love is an odd ball series, but still good with a unique plot.
For a horror series with the kind of romance you wouldn’t expect, it’s a worthwhile anime. And a rare breed that stands out.
11. Vinland Saga
Vinland Saga is one of the most solid anime in 2019. Made by Wit Studios.
It’s a generally high rated series and likely won’t disappoint.
12. Scum’s Wish
Scum’s Wish is an intense romance/drama series, made by Studio Lerche.
If you’re expecting something soft and gentle, this ain’t it. Otherwise it’ll be right up your alley.
13. Attack on Titan S1, S2 & S3
Attack On Titan season 1 isn’t available. But season 2 and season 3 are up on Amazon.
This anime doesn’t need an introduction. It’s the most famous horror anime in the industry.
14. Dr Stone
Dr Stone can be watched on Amazon. But it’s the dubbed version so keep that in mind.
This anime has a season 2 on the way and it’s one of the more unique shows of recent years.
15. Inuyashiki Last Hero
Inuyashiki was one of the most popular anime in 2017, made by MAPPA studios.
It’s comparable to

Made back in 2019 by LIDENFILMS. The same studio as Rokudenashi.
It’s an ONA (original net animation).
17. Blood C
Blood C is an alternative to Blood+, with more violence and horror. And a different story.
18. Boarding School Juliet
Made in 2018 by LIDENFILMS. It’s a rom com series.
19. Hyouka
Hyouka takes boring concepts and makes it fun and interesting. And is made by Kyoto Animation, one of the best studios in the business.
20. Claymore
Claymore’s one of the most underrated action/fantasy series. Especially with female characters.
It’s made by Madhouse and is has some of the best fights I’ve ever seen.
21. Your Name
The famous Your Name is on Amazon in both dubbed and subbed, the original version.
It’s one of the most famous anime and successful movies of all time.
22. RWBY: Volume 1, 2, 3 & More
RWBY Volume 1 and many other volumes are up on Amazon. Made by Rooster Teeth in the USA.
It’s one of the very few international anime to gain massive attention and success in the anime community.
23. Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku
Love Is Hard For Otaku is self explanatory. And was made in 2018 by A-1 Pictures. Same studio as
24. Welcome to the Ballroom
Made by Production I.G, the same studio as Psycho Pass, this anime is about dancing. And the many things that come with it.
It’s different by design.
25. Saekano: How To Raise A Boring Girlfriend
How To Raise A Boring Girlfriend was adapted from a
It’s one of my personal favorite Ecchi anime. And feels better laid out as far as the usual cliches you see in these types of shows.
26. No Game No Life
No Game No Life is a legendary Isekai anime. And one of the biggest to ever do it.
You can watch No Game No Life AND No Game No Life: Zero on Amazon. Both are available.
27. BANANA FISH
Banana Fish is one of the most recommended anime from 2018, made by MAPPA Studios.
It’s an odd mix of violence, action, drama and shoujo. Wrapped into one series.
28. Avatar: The Last Airbender
Just like RWBY, this anime is one of the few accepted shows from the USA. It’s popularity and the quality are unmatched for a non-Japanese anime.
29. Dororo
Released in 2019 and adapted from old material, Dororo is one of the underdogs of 2019. And is well received in the anime community.
30. Amagi Brilliant Park
Amagi Brilliant Park, an anime that goes unnoticed and is made by Kyoto Animation.
It’s about a theme park that’s in danger of going out of business. And has some magic themes that gel with the story.
31. GATE
GATE is about a passage way that opens up in Japan, leading to a new world with old fashioned ways of living.
As a military series you can expect violence, and by the anime’s nature – some adventure as well.
32. Death Parade
Death Parade is an anime about life and death in a nutshell. The main characters are “stuck” between Heaven and Hell, and will be judged by the overseers.
Based on their behavior, they’ll e thrown into Heaven or Hell if they’re deserving of either one.
It’s a deep series and not the most popular.
33. Yugioh
Yugioh is a classic and will always be remembered for it’s contribution to the anime industry.
Both season 1 and other versions are available on Amazon.
34. Dropkick on My Devil!
Drop Kick On My Devil, mad in 2018 by studio Nomad, is like a sadistic comedy series. Dark comedy.
It’s gone on to have a 2nd season.
35. In Another World With My Smartphone
In Another World With My Smartphone is an Isekai series.
The main character is struck by the lightning of God accidentally, and God grants him a new life as an apology.
This anime does have its funny moments.
36. Re:CREATORS
re:Creators is another Isekai anime, but in this case it’s “reverse” Isekai.
Characters from another world end up in the ordinary world, and everything changes.
