Ecchi anime characters have defined the industry for decades at this point.
While people may complain about ecchi women, fanservice, cleavage, bouncy boobies, harems, and all the rest of it, the reality is this is what people want!
Genuine anime fans want it versus those who don’t care for it but criticize it as if they’re paying for the product (they’re not).
Let’s make a list.
The BEST Ecchi Anime Characters (Women) Non Ranking Order:
1. Utaha Kasumigaoka (How To Raise A Boring Girlfriend)
Utaha is a best selling author in the anime, with over half a million sold to be precise. She’s also one of the beauties of this ecchi/harem series that manages to pump out a quality product.
Brown hair, slender body, introverted, and intelligent. There’s a lot to like about this ecchi character!
2. Satsuki Kiryuin (Kill La Kill)
Satsuki, or “lady Satsuki” as she’s called, is the leader of Hannouji Academy, an elite school. She is also the Daughter of Raguyo, the leader of the organization.
Similar to Erza from Fairy Tail, Satsuki is willing to do whatever it takes to succeed and takes it a step further with her “badassery” moments in the anime.
She’s stunning despite her thick eyelashes, and is driven by purpose, making her more than just a “fanservice” character to stare at.
Lust Goddess is a hot and thrilling collectible card game, in which you will assemble your unique squad of sexy mercenary girls.
3. Sakura Hibiki (How Heavy Are The Dumbbells You Lift?)
Sakura is the blonde girl and the face of the anime. This anime focuses on health, the gym, staying fit, working out, and doing everything you can to live a healthy lifestyle.
Of course, it mixes in humour, deliberate fanservice for both genders, and of course, a dose of ecchi where it counts to lighten up the mood.
Sakura is like any ordinary girl who wants to stay fit and may have a few insecurities, making her relatable.
4. Senjougahara Hitagi (Monogatari)
Senjougahara is the serious girl with purple hair, and yandere tendencies as she’s portrayed. She’s in love with Araragi, and she’s honest about her feelings.
She’s the type of woman who comes across as possessive and holds the things she holds dearly a little too tight.
While not an ecchi character in the traditional sense, she is indeed one of the genre’s most popular and relevant women.
5. Ayame Kajou (Shimoneta)
Ayame is the famous “blue snow” who is branded as a terrorist in this social justice anime series. The police force is called “SJW’s” literally, and they jail anyone making lewd jokes or talking about impure things like “sex”.
Ayame, in secret, is trying to change this by spreading material across schools and rebelling against the politically incorrect system.
Given her behaviour and the eye candy, she is one of the most relevant and well written ecchi characters aside from the superficial stuff.
6. Lucy (Elfen Lied)
Lucy from Elfen Lied is one of the most savage anime characters there is, but only because she is a creation turned into a “monster” by humans.
Abused, kept in captivity, and experimented on, all of this drives her to hate humans and do what she does.
In the midst of this, she has a somewhat complicated relationship with Kota, the main male character. Their relationship is traumatic yet pure.
Lots of nudity in this series with Lucy and others, but for darker reasons compared to other ecchi anime and ecchi characters.
7. Rea (Sankarea)
Rea is a human girl who is abused by her father and sexualized by that same man. After suicide, she becomes a zombie thanks to Chihiro, the other main character, who is obsessed with zombies and tests a way to bring back the dead.
He succeeds with a cat and Rea, and they both become an official couple.
Rea therefore is a deep character despite being an ecchi character, with lots of meaning behind her why and what.
8. Shampoo (Ranma 1/2)
Shampoo, as funny as the name is, happens to be one of the most famous characters from Ranma 1/2. She is Chinese, she likes Ranma (the main character), and in general, is a very disciplined woman.
Ecchi characters from the 1990s and 80s are designed differently, not just built differently. But in the case of Ranma 1/2 and Shampoo, it’s not as overly dramatic compared to a newer anime like “To Love Ru” for example.
9. Sena Kashiwazaki (Haganai)
Sena is the blonde main character out of the main trio in this series. She is pleasant, kind, and obsessed with Kodaka’s younger sister because she is cute.
Only when Sena comes across Yozara, the black haired female character, is she “nasty” because of how Yozara treats her and is jealous.
Like others in the anime, Sena loves video games and is a source of the anime’s eye candy.
10. Kyai Furan (Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar)
Kyai is a fairly tall female character in this Mecha series. She is prim and proper, a so called “mature” type of woman but in reality, she can be childish, very insecure, a Tsundere, and not honest with her feelings.
One thing she does have going for her (besides looks and personality) is her dedication to getting the job done and being self-disciplined.
She is lesser known among ecchi characters but is one of the best in the genre.
11. Lala (To Love Ru)
Lala Satalin Deviluke is her full name. She is the main female character of the show and one of many Aliens in the series.
She is also one of the pink haired sisters who is into the main character (harem style).
She is forward about her feelings and is often seen in the nude or close to it with the anime’s shameless amounts of fanservice.
Lala isn’t one of the best written ecchi characters, but for sure is definitely one of the more popular and attractive.
12. Karen Kamiya (Shuumatsu No Harem)
Karen is the opposite of an actual Karen. She is the face of the “project” in the series that involves men sleeping with women in a world where few men exist thanks to a virus that wiped most of them out.
This makes men more sought after by an endless stream of women.
Karen is the sarcastic, playful type who is clearly smarter than she appears to be, and though not opposed to sex, she doesn’t tend to get involved as she has a bigger role in the anime series.

13. Roxy Migurdia (Mushoku Tensei)
Roxy, or “foxy roxy” is one of the earlier characters in Mushoku Tensei. She is a magician and one who doesn’t see much in the main character in the early stages.
She is blunt, likeable, attractive, and memorable despite her screen time not being as prominent as the series progresses.
Many consider her waifu material.
The most popular hentai game in the world with over 10M registered players. Let the players create their own harem of sexy hentai chicks and let them prove their skills in crazy challenges to become the number one hero.
14. Rias Gremory (High School DxD)
Rias Gremory is the redheaded beauty from DxD who is a devil and a powerful one. Also, she is one of the anime industry’s most recognized waifu types and is considered one of the hottest female characters.
It goes further than that. True, she is an ecchi character with blatant fanservice to please the eyes, but she is also one of the favourite women of anime for her personality and mindset.
15. Setsuna (Redo Of Healer)
Setsuna is the ice wolf from a clan in the anime that is under threat until Keyaru, the MC, intervenes and helps her escape from slavery.
She is a proud ice wolf and a powerful one. She is also a frequent source of fanservice, sex, ecchi, and nudity in Redo Of Healer, making her an obvious choice among ecchi characters.
16. Erina Nakiri (Food Wars)
Erina comes across as arrogant, self important, and gives off “queen energy” but not in the way it sounds.
She is classed as a Himedere, which is a type of “dere” that has princess syndrome essentially.
Eirna does have positive traits though like her work ethic, focus, discipline, and commitment to her craft, not unlike her cousin Alice Nakiri.
Both characters are sexy, ecchi, and like many in the anime, designed to please the eyes!
17. Saeko Busujima (High School Of The Dead)
Saeko Busujima. She is probably the most liked anime girl from the High School Of The Dead series. She is a capable swordswoman, skilled, talented, and beautiful.
She is a woman of few words and clearly has smarts on some level.
Busujima stands out among other female characters in the anime and among ecchi characters overall.
18. Akeno (High School DxD)
Akeno is also another beauty from DxD. One who gives off the whole “Ara Ara” energy that many female characters have in various shows.
Being a devil as well and one of Issei’s girlfriends (main character), she is relevant just like Rias.
Fans like her for different reasons, personality being one of them besides the juicy bits.

19. Megumi Tadokoro (Food Wars)
Megumi is one of the upcoming chefs in the Food Wars series and one who lacks confidence in the beginning. But over time, she becomes more self assured and improves her craft in cooking.
As far as character writing goes, Megumi is one of the anime’s best as her backstory and purpose go far beyond just looks or the obvious ecchi moments of the anime.
She is fairly smart, capable, and determined as a person.
20. Hanekawa Tsubasa (Monogatari)
Hanekawa is an iconic character from Monogatari and one with an interesting personality that sets her apart.
She is knowledgeable, but not arrogant about her knowledge. In fact, she admits to it.
She is one of the hotter characters from Monogatari, an anime that is deeper than just being ecchi. But she’s also one of the best ecchi characters the genre has to offer.
