Madoka Kaname is one of the dual protagonists of the Puella Magi Madoka Magica franchise. Pink hair, soft spoken, naïve, simplistic, and appears to be MEEK and docile.
She's also not very confident in herself. But where she lights up is when it comes to other people and doing right by them. Her kindness is her defining trait, as well as her willingness to self sacrifice for the greater good.

In the anime series: Madoka Magica, Madoka Kaname isn't anything special at first. A regular human being who Homura Akemi is seemingly trying protect and "preach" to. But throughout the series, Madoka starts to become more than she ever thought she could be, and makes the ultimate sacrifice.
The positives? She saves those who mean the world to her, and while she is content with the consequences, the life lesson here shows there is a cost to putting others before yourself, especially if the actions taken to protect others leans towards the "extreme" side.
Life isn't always fair in this way.
