Psychologists Claim Hentai Fans Differ From People Who Aren't Into 2D Girls

It doesn’t even take a study or research to understand anime fans differ from most people. That’s by design.

The amount of outrage and criticism only makes that more obvious anyway, on top of the exclusionary attitude people have.

It’s also not surprising that Hentai fans differ from those who aren’t into 2D girls either. And by extension, those who prefer regular porn over the animated version we know as Hentai.

Curiosity kills the cat, so it’s only natural this kind of “study” was done eventually.

Differences between consumers of Hentai and regular porno

The study was done on only 208 participants, so not a massive study by any stretch of the imagination.

Maby also rated hentai characters as sexier, hotter, and more attractive compared to regular, real porn stars. A-K-A humans.

Not surprising. You can’t compete with something imaginary and fictional since it can be made into perfection. That’s why so many people project their feelings onto anime characters.

Researchers thoughts

“Like many weebs and otakus, I love anime, doujinshi, anime music, anime video games, and waifus,” the researcher explained. “As for the pornography side of things, I, like many people, got into hentai and human pornography when I was a young teenager. But, despite that, many academics and guest speakers I have listened to on pornography almost always try to avoid talking about hentai. So when I got the opportunity to do my undergraduate thesis, I ended up combining the two things.”

The researcher continued:

“The scores on attractiveness and romantic desire towards real humans did not significantly differ across all three pornography consumer types. Thus, developing stronger attraction and romantic desire towards anime characters may be unique to hentai but not human pornography.”

While not a massive study as far as numbers, the DETAILS of the study are curious and a lot of fans should take a peek.

It compares a lot more than mentioned here. Things like:
