Hentai Was The Most SEARCHED Term Again via Pornhub 2022, Plus More....

Last year in 2021, I also covered the most popular search terms on pornhub via their statistics blog.

Hentai was their most searched term for the year, far above terms you’d expect to be higher or equal.

With the year 2022 coming to an end, they reran the stats, and the result has been similar but different (with the exception of Hentai dominating the charts).

The most popular GLOBAL search term on pornhub in 2022

In their own words via their statistics breakdown:

“Other searches that saw growth in 2022 include “blowjob”, “cosplay”, and “trans”. Terms that remained in the Top 20 but saw a decrease in popularity include “anime”, “bbc”, “squirt” and “joi” (jerk off instructions).”

Strangely the term anime has seen a drop this year compared to previous insights, despite the fact that HENTAI is the most popular search term in 2022. Hentai being a subset of anime.

Right below Hentai at the #1 spot is the term Japanese which shows just how:

Is fueling the demand for Japanese-related search terms on pornhub, or at least that’s what I gather from the data. Plus it makes sense because of its association.

Most popular search terms USA edition 2022

As you can see, Lesbian is even more popular this year in the USA than the term Hentai, though Hentai is a close 2nd.

This is specifically for the USA this time.
