Amidst his latest video yesterday, admitting that he’s “lost” to the T series for subscriber count, Pewdiepie’s latest update is a new partnership with Anime Motivation.
The goal of this latest partnership and “project” is to create a new way to stream anime online, fix the issue of licensing, and finally bring all your favorite anime shows together in “one” central location.
A problem anime fans have struggled with for years which has made piracy such an issue.
“I’ve always been a fan of anime, and at first I felt awkward about it.” says pewdiepie.
He goes on to say: “That’s why I came out with a video titled “Why am I so embarrassed, which was received better than I expected.”
“Since then I’ve thought a lot about my interests in anime. And then I came across Anime Motivation some time ago and spoke with the founder. I thought the idea was cool and reached out.”
“I feel now is the right time to announce a project we’ve been working on for the anime community. Combined with my large subscriber base, following, and everything Anime Motivation has built up, I think this could be a real game changer that will make anime fans happy around the world.” – Says Pewdiepie.
