Hentai, for good reason, is hidden away from public spaces, not just because of politics, but because of CHILDREN.
This group, for good reason, is a group to avoid targeting in any kind of way because of where it can lead.
But imagine a future where Hentai is displayed, even if it is in “private” settings, where:
- You see it displayed.
- You see it advertised.
- It’s openly shared.
- And it’s common to the point of it not being strange.
With the way technology is going, including AI, and the world in general (mostly the USA and so on), you can imagine hentai being displayed in these 10 places,
Here’s a list.
1. Strip clubs
Not that I support these types of establishments because I don’t, but just think about it calmly.
Strip clubs are places where women are obviously stripping down for “the male gaze”, but it could be for other types of people, considering what goes on these days.
The point, though, is that Hentai fits this kind of environment, and if more companies become willing to meddle with hentai for profit, this would be an ideal fit and could work in ways nobody would expect.
That’s assuming people in those environments are interested in hentai at all (likely many of them watch it in secrecy, considering how unbelievably popular it is).

2. VR Gaming
It only makes sense when you think about it logically. VR Gaming is big, but in future, regardless of whether it becomes much larger, would benefit from having adult content for those who want it.
And you can’t talk about adult content without mentioning hentai because of how much more popular, famous, and relevant it is in general.
Would it be weird? No question. Imagine porn but inside your head, VR style, there’s no telling where it would lead. But if hentai is ever taken seriously, this would be a thing you’d see.
Fan of dating sims? Then this is the adult anime game you’ll wanna try next.
3. Augmented Reality Games
We got it taste of augmented reality with POKEMON GO, and that’s the cute, familiar, innocent type of augmented reality that everyone loves.
Age is irrelevant, and there is no censorship or politics to think of.
Hentai, on the other hand, needs to be monitored or regulated in some sense because of its nature. Though if done right and if it’s made accessible to adults only, there’s no reason to think the door wouldn’t open wide for this market.
Therefore, you’d see hentai displayed in this fashion in the distant future.
4. Billboards in specific cities
Billboards are public, but all for the wrong reasons when it comes to hentai. You can’t just slap a hentai billboard out inn Manchester, London, New York, or any other big city without considering local laws, customs, etc, which most would universally reject anyway.
That being said, places like Japan, or sections of cities where “naughty stuff” happens, would be a prime place to see hentai displayed, even if it’s only SFW and not full on extreme.
VEGAS strips in certain sections could do it also, considering what kind of city it is.
5. Dedicated hentai shops (physical)
You probably can’t imagine seeing a physical retail shop selling or promoting hentai even if it’s SFW material, but who’s to say it couldn’t happen in the right setting and the right context?
Again, like #4, this would be in its own section of certain cities where these kinds of products or “businesses” are allowed to be marketed and promoted since it’s isolated.
But for those who are “window” shopping, it could drive a market and end up bringing home the bacon in ways nobody knew bacon was capable of.
6. Car paint jobs (SFW)
We see the Hatsune Miku car paint jobs, and other anime-style paint jobs, even if it’s not what I’d call a “culture” at this point. It’s not exactly mainstream.
Still, car paint jobs of hentai characters, SFW style, like characters from Overflow or Amakano? That’s innocent enough to work, even on billboards.
This is contextual to the country, though, since not everywhere will take it the same way (seeing hentai images on a car).
7. Adult-oriented anime cons (no kids allowed)
Funny thing is, you have anime cons where kids go in today’s age, and some women (and men even) cosplay as some of the lewdest, ecchi, risque characters in the industry.
They then call it “artistic” even though they’re bordering on slut vibes in a place where KIDS are able to see.
The hypocrisy here is that AHEGAO is banned in these places. So why not create an anime con dedicated to this stuff instead?
An adult oriented anime con where people can cosplay as whatever they want, with ADULTS and not children, would be great, safe, and doesn’t disturb the peace.
Hentai could freely walk into this setting and flex like never before, and money will only follow.
8. Online virtual events
Online virtual events have already but only on a tiny scale. Very few do these types of hentai events, displaying either hentai games, shows, movies, art, and so on.
Many companies have the capacity, but they won’t because it’s politically incorrect and they don’t want their brand associated with it, and so on.
But this could become a growing trend if enough people start doing it without shame, that is, (since shame is a big factor).
9. Hyper exclusive airport lounges (in Japan, maybe)
Imagine walking into an airport lounge while waiting to board a plane hours in advance, and that lounge is not just anime focused, but you have ane exclusive section that goes as far as HENTAI.
Even if it’s SFW, this is the kind of thing that would go viral overnight and blow up the internet for the sheer audacity of it all (it’s daring).
Still, it’s less likely to be seen because of how the airline business is, but if anyone does it, it will be Japan, and it’s not hard to imagine in this context.

10. Onlyfans AI characters
A world where women on OnlyFans are not actually women, but artificial intelligence, is a future that’s to be expected and has been in the making for some time now.
Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on your point of view.
You will have anime or, in this case, hentai characters who “talk” to their fans in these lewd, pornographic, or “strip tease” situations where the AI becomes so real to people based on the relationships they build.
Hentai is naturally drawn to this area, and there is no reason why it can’t or won’t happen since AI characters “talking to people” and communicating with them already exist.
Hentai and things alike are the next step in the process if it goes that far.

In the end, hentai will eventually end up in places not expected, or places that make sense but were never possible because of obvious censorship, rejection, alienation, and the general dismissive attitude towards it.
Technology and the way it keeps evolving only makes these realities more likely, even if it’s not ideal for sensible reasons.
