Similar to Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z, Jellal goes through a lot of personal changes: from bad to good throughout the Anime. And there’s a lot of great life lessons from his journey that you can apply to your life.
Here are 3 Life Lessons To Be Learned From Jellal Fernandes
1. Be willing to face the consequences of your mistakes
Jellal, for no fault of his own, is possessed by an unknown spell. This happened in the Tower of Heaven, a place where Jellal, Erza, and others were once child Slaves.
After being possessed he became evil, manipulative and wicked. Eventually killing one of his old comrades – Simon. And not giving a damn about it.
When the spell worn off, his memories came flooding back to him overtime.
And once Jellal became aware of all the crimes he committed, he willingly took himself into custody and went straight to Jail. Even though he knew his punishment would be the death penalty.
Regardless of what you’ve done, always be willing to face up to the consequences of your actions.
If you do, you’ll become a stronger, wiser, smarter person because of it. You’ll feel much better about yourself from the inside out.
And that’ll help you make better choices in future.
2. Surround yourself with supportive people
The main purpose of the guild is to put a stop to everything that’s evil. As well as to gain redemption for all their past crimes.
Life can be tough. We all have ups and downs. And there’s no way you can go through it, or should go through it all alone.
Going through it alone makes it harder, more of a struggle, and more difficult to deal with.
When you’re surrounded by supportive people, it not only strengthens your bond and motivation, but it takes a lot of weight off your shoulders.
Instead of kidding yourself into thinking you can do it alone, surround yourself with people who will lift you up. People who will inspire you, and people who want to you to be successful.
Having that kind of support group makes a huge difference to your daily life.
3. Be willing to make changes
Regardless of his horrible past, Jellal willingly made positive changes to make things right. And to help himself grow into a better person.
Because of this, he ended up being surrounded by like minded people who were also on the same path. And that in itself made it easier to make the changes Jellal desired.
What you can learn from this:
You can change no matter what the challenge is. And there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be willing to make changes either.
When you step out of your comfort zone, do something different, and make an effort, you’ll become a better person because of it. And others will not only notice it, but respect it.
And more importantly, you’ll notice the changes. That in itself will make you happier and more at peace with yourself, and your life.
