8+ Anime Like Uzaki Chan Wants To Hang Out (Recommended)

This anime is about Uzaki who pesters her senpai to hang out, a guy she fancies, and he’s introverted and doesn’t appreciate her persistence.

Since he doesn’t have a personal issue with her otherwise he tolerates it and an attraction between the two begins, slowly but surely.

Uzaki Chan wanting to hang out has been a problem for the Twitter mob and various people who have beef with the character. And that’s partly why this anime is still being talked about.

Here’s a list of anime like Uzaki Chan since season 2 is now rolling around.

1. Dagashi Kashi

Hotaru Shidare is the main character of the show and the main female character as well. Purple hair, curiously designed eyes, and aesthetically pleasing in general.

She’s the owner of a sweet company that sells Dagashi, a type of Japanese sweet that’s cheap and cheerful. The business was passed down to her in part.

The anime’s chemistry between Hotaru and Kokonotsu is similar to what you get from Uzaki Chan. Very Ecchi as well with some obvious but cheeky fanservice.

The name says it all really. That alone is enough of comparison for Uzaki Chan.

Futaba Igarashi is a cute Japanese girl who’s a young adult, is SMOL, and is often mistaken for being younger than she’d like. Her senpai often gives her a head pat which she sometimes feels irritated by.

This is where the subtle hints of romance play a role. Her Senpai is tall as F.

The anime as a whole is sweet, wholesome, heartwarming, and not at all ecchi or anything of the like. It’s family friendly.

3. Skilled Teaser Takagi

A wholesome manga turned into an anime with 2+ seasons so far, and more content on the way. Takagi is the teasing girl who loves teasing the guy she likes.

She’ll do it to make him blush, get a reaction, or entertain herself at her romantic interests’ expense.

The series is focused on very young characters and has a more wholesome, sweet view of what life is like at that age. And the emotions and experiences kids can go through as far as so called “love”.

It’s childish but in a positive context.

4. Umaru Chan

Umaru Doma, the younger sister of Taihei Doma is a lazy little sh*t when she’s at home. She does nothing despite her brother doing all the work to maintain the flat (and pay for it) in which they both live.

At school, Umaru is a perfect student who shines literally as she walks down the hallways, takes tests, and does any other activity. She’s living a double life.

She’s two-faced.

That’s part of the main plot and the point of the story, but it becomes more than that in spite of Umaru’s attempts to keep up with appearances.

5. When Will Ayumu Make His Move?

In the anime Skilled Teaser Takagi, it’s the female protagonist who’s teasing the male character. But in When Will Ayumu Make His Move it’s the male character who indirectly has the same effect on the girl called Urushi.

This anime is about Ayumu planning to confess his feelings after he beats his crush at a game of Shogi, which she’s an expert at playing.

Being classed as an Iyashikei series, this anime is purely wholesome, relaxing, and will have a peaceful effect on those who watch it.

It’s nice and calming.

6. My Dress Up Darling

One of the biggest rom com anime we’ve had in years. My Dress Up Darling was bound to thrive the moment it dropped because of how well received it’s manga already was years before.

Marin Kitagawa is an Otaku and proud. She has no tolerance for those who stereotype and disrespect fans of anime, games, or geek culture.

She’s pleasant, feminine, and one of the more popular girls in school in spite of these interests.

Gojo, a guy who makes dolls as a business meets Marin and they both help each other fulfil and pursue their individual passions.

It’s what starts off their wholesome relationship.

7. Aho Girl

The name is revealing and not for the right reasons. Either way, you have Yoshiko who’s nicknamed “banana girl” for her love of Bananas which she has no problem bragging about.

She’s not the brightest light bulb in the box and it doesn’t seem to get her down. She’s known for annoying the guy she likes who’s a Tsundere in his own right.

Comical aspects like gender equality, extreme parody-like humor, and cliches are rampant in this anime, deliberately.

It’s the kind of anime like Uzaki Chan that you either love or hate.

8. Nagatoro

And then we have Nagatoro, the king of teasing-styled anime shows. The manga also had a following before it was adapted and caused controversy long before it aired like Uzaki Chan.

Nagatoro San, the main female character teases her senpai a lot. But in the case of this anime it’s bullying until later when it becomes romance and wanting to protect the guy she now likes.

If that’s your kind of thing Nagatoro will satisfy. It’s a more extreme version (for lack of a better word) than something like Uzaki Chan, but that’s a general observation.
